New Mural from Artist Kayla Casteel

There's a new art piece on property at the SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel and it's hard to miss!  One of the ocean front benches has been transformed into a sea life mural piece with astonishing detail, with a sea turtle, colorful fish and coral reefs, this art display is one to admire and is certainly a photo moment worth taking!  Kayla Casteel is a vibrant muralist, tattoo artist, and bag designer who believes that art is a language of love. For over 15 years, she’s used color and creativity to transform walls, skin, and accessories into living works of art.  As the founder of Yolo Queen, Kayla brings her bold aesthetic and heart-centered vision to life through her wearable art that radiates positivity and empowerment. Inspired by her family—her wife, her children (ages 11, 8, and twin babies)—and their shared love of travel, dance, and nature, her work reflects the harmony between chaos and beauty. She thinks color heals, movement inspires and creativity unites us.  Check out another one of her pieces at the Inn at the Cove, sister property to the SeaCrest.  She transformed their Little Free Library into a California based mural with vibrant orange poppies, a stunning humpback whale and an outer space background.
