Pismo Beach continues to offer family friendly and unique events that everyone is sure to enjoy, here is a short list of the best upcoming summer events we recommend this season:
Queer Surf and Art Series - Former Pro surfer Kyla Langen and insatiable boogie boarder Nic started organizing Queer Surf Beach Days throughout California in 2016. The movement and community grew from there. Their mission is to support queer wellness, increase access to nature and marine science, and expand surf culture. They are working to engage queer groups in marina science and coastal stewardship while offering surf and seas camps, beginner lessons, private lessons and grom youth programs. The event in Pismo Beach will be held on May 2 from 2:00pm-7:45pm on the beach nearby 100 Ocean View Ave.
World Dog Surfing Championships Exhibition Tour - The World Dog Surfing Championships Exhibition Tour is coming to California’s Central Coast for a showcase in Pismo Beach on May 2 from 10am-2pm. Watch dog surfers compete at the highest level, cheer on local participants, and soak in a full afternoon of beach fun the whole family will love. The World Dog Surfing Exhibition Tour features six of the world’s top dog surfing teams, showcasing the sport at its highest level. Watch the pros in featured heats, followed by a final showcase to highlight the best of the best. Between the heats, meet the dogs and check our sponsor activations. A pet wellness fair and surf dog village will also run from 10am-2pm that day.
