  • The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) has named the SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel’s Martin Cisneros as the Stars of the Industry Award Winner in the category of Outstanding Manager of the Year. 

California’s Central Coast is a popular destination for wine lovers, tourists, business people, nature enthusiasts, surfing aficionados, foodies, families, and more. While Pismo Beach and its neighbors are responsible for bringing visitors to the area, it’s hotels like the SeaCrest – and managers like Martin – that encourage travelers to stay longer and come back for more.

CH&LA Stars of the Industry Awards

The annual CH&LA Stars of the Industry Awards, presented by USA TODAY, are awarded to honor those who symbolize the quality service of the hotel and lodging industry. The Outstanding Manager of the Year award in particular recognizes exceptional performance by a supervisory employee to their subordinates, guests, and the surrounding community. 

“Our congratulations go out to each of these individuals and properties for their continued dedication and outstanding contributions to our state’s lodging industry,” says CH&LA president and CEO, Lynn Mohrfeld.

The SeaCrest staff is regularly recognized in online hotel reviews, and it is a sign of quality leadership from individuals like Martin that the entire hotel staff is considered warm, welcoming, helpful, and friendly.

Seacrest Oceanfront Hotel Employee Receives California Hotel & Lodging Association Award

We pride ourselves on having the friendliest and most helpful staff in Pismo Beach, so it was no surprise when one of our own was awarded with the honor of being the Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year from the California Hotel & Lodging Association’s CH&LA/CABBI Stars of the Industry Awards. 

LaMont Simonaro, of the Maintenance Department, has, for the past seven years been an integral part of the property’s promise of delivering a memorable stay for its guests. He has become an unofficial ambassador and fount of all knowledge to guests to such an extent he is regularly singled out for praise in both website reviews and thank you notes and letters from guests. 

In 2014 and 2012, our team was also awarded with the Excellence in Lodging and Hospitality Award from the California Lodging Industry Association (CLIA). The CLIA judges were especially impressed by the effectiveness of our sales and marketing message and the results it has amassed.
